Swords Flaunted In Maharashtra Birthday Party, 6 Arrested: Police

Mumbai:

Six individuals together with the deputy head of a municipal council have been arrested after swords had been brandished throughout a birthday celebration in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, police mentioned on Thursday.

The incident befell on Wednesday night when the birthday of deputy head of the municipal council Haji Rashid Khan Jamadar was being celebrated on a college floor.

Over 40 individuals who had gathered there started to bounce and a few of them brandished swords, a police official mentioned.

Native police had been alerted about it they usually arrived and stopped the celebration.

Six individuals together with Mr Jamadar had been arrested beneath the Arms Act for unlawful possession of weapons, police official Arvind Chavria.

Mr Jamadar was held as he was the host.

A court docket despatched them in police custody until February 15. With incidents of swords being brandished or typically used to chop the cake throughout birthday celebrations on rise, state police are taking strict motion in such instances.
